MLK’s pleas for change have fallen on deaf ears. None of us can possibly understand what it’s like to be targeted unless you are a person of color in this country. I am Latin American. My extended family have experienced hate crimes, but unable to report it to the police.
The change will come when all of us stand up & demand it!
Close your eyes, imagine you are a mother. Your son is walking to the convenient store, hands in pockets of his hoodie. He’s stopped, blinding light in his face…told to show his hands…phone is in his right hand. BANG!! Your son is dead.
